Job Description
The Insurance and Audit Analyst is primarily responsible for providing insurance and commercial vehicle leadership, guidance, services and support to our Profit Centres (PCs). Key insurance responsibilities include claims, proof of insurance and bond request support to PCs in addition to communicating and collaborating with our insurance broker and insurance providers. Key commercial vehicles responsibilities include monthly reporting and coaching provided directly our PCs including control expectations to comply with relevant legislation. The Insurance and Audit Analyst will also support the Internal Audit team priorities by providing PCs with inventory count training, reporting and guidance and data analytics leadership including tracking, indexing, and analyzing risks, operational control data and financial data.
Job Responsibilities
Insurance Administration
- Timely administration of insurance invoices related to premiums, claims and other expenses.

Leadership of claims management process including documenting and indexing claims, reporting to our insurance provider and collaboration with the Risk Management team on the status of claims

Administration of bond requests to support our Profit Centre operations, specifically bid bonds and performance bonds.

Timely and effective customer service to Profit Centre by answering insurance related inquires and providing coaching

Timely and effective administration of certificates of insurance requests from third parties including landlords and customers to support our Profit Centres. Updating our database of required certificates of insurance on an annual basis and strong communication and collaboration with our insurance broker to support this process.

Documenting certificates of insurance that Emco requires from third parties and timely follow-up to ensure all certificates are current.

Administration of proof of insurance for all Emco delivery vehicles to ensure our Profit Centres maintain adequate documentation to comply with commercial vehicle standards and legislation.

Ensure timely and complete commercial vehicle documentation requirements including validating that all commercial vehicle logs are completed and follow-up with Profit Centres where required.

Support timely and effective insurance and commercial vehicle communication to our Profit Centres and provide training to teammates on relevant processes and best practices.
Commercial Vehicles

Leadership of commercial vehicle administration including tracking and compiling data, monitoring performance, communicating results, action plans and progress

Collaboration with Profit Centre Managers (PCM) and the Accounting team to ensure all existing vehicles are accounted for including acquisitions and disposals.

Support the training and development of teammates that drive Emco vehicles.

Timely updates and strong data governance over Emco’s database of commercial vehicles
Inventory Count Leadership

Provide leadership and training to PCMs, teammates and inventory observers across the PC network to ensure annual inventory counts are successful. Collaborate with PCMs and inventory observers to ensure to ensure adequate number of inventory observers are available for PC inventory counts.

Provide training to PCs including related job aids and training courses on Emco University and timely support related to inventory count inquires including during inventory count weekends.

Review Profit Centre readiness for inventory counts and follow-up where required in order to ensure timely and efficient inventory counts.

Collaborate with PCMs to ensure the annual schedule for inventory counts is always current.

Review and approve final inventory count results, investigate significant gains and losses and collaborate with Profit Centre Managers on any required follow-up action plans.
Data Analytics

Track and index risks identified as a result of internal audits, advisories and monthly review of Profit Centre controls.

Review and monitor the Operational Excellence Control Scorecard to ensure timely communication of key performance indicators.

Publish and communicate data analytics on key risks that influence behaviour change to enhance controls and profitability.

Perform data collection, analysis and reporting to support audit priorities and initiatives.

Identify data trends, inconsistencies and/or anomalies that require further investigation.
Qualifications

Minimum Education: University degree and/or college diploma

Minimum Experience: A minimum of two years of work experience as an auditor, insurance administration or accounting.
