Flair Airlines is currently seeking a permanent, full-time IT System Administrator to join our growing and ever-changing organization. Reporting to the Technical Product Manager - Airport Systems, this position will play a critical role in providing a wide variety of internal IT support services to Airport Operations. The IT System Admin will be responsible for the management of Flair’s Departure Control System. The System Admin will also be responsible for training, performing integrations, configuring the system for any new or updated business initiative, and testing updates. The role requires a team player that possesses superior communication, and excellent interpersonal skills and is also a self-starter with both a strong sense of urgency and the ability to find their own solutions to problems and work independently when needed.
Primary Job Functions:
The duties of the IT System Administrator include:

Manage user accounts: add/update/delete/deactivate user accounts as necessary

Develop, implement, and maintain user roles policies for different business units

Define system access permissions based on user roles

Develop, implement, and maintain system security policies and procedures to ensure data availability, confidentiality, and integrity using industry best practices

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot software/hardware problems

Coordinate with vendors for testing, configuring, and deploying system upgrades according to vendor’s guidelines and regulatory requirements

Escalate system problems to vendor for timely resolution
-
Perform and test regular backups and restores

Develop and deliver effective APIs for data reporting and system interfacing
-
Conduct user training
-
Develop and maintain policies and procedures manuals to ensure the needs of effected business units are met including disaster recovery and failover procedures

Participate in long-term planning for systems in conjunction with business units managers

Liaise closely with and provide all relevant information to the Information Technology department

Oversee regular license audits and quality checks

Perform UAT testing
-
Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements:

A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field

Minimum of two (2) three (3) years of experience as a System Administrator or related role

Experience in providing application support to end users is desirable

Knowledge of scripting and APIs
-
Good communication and documentation skills
-
A motivated individual with a high degree of professional and personal flexibility

Ability to quickly troubleshoot a variety of technical problems associated with computer hardware, peripheral equipment, associated operating systems, and software

Maintain a high level of operational and technical knowledge necessary to meet the requirements of the role

Experience in Project management and change management

Knowledge of Airlines; Airport Operations, systems, and processes

Strong oral and written communication skills required

Must be available for travel

Clear criminal record check and satisfactory employment references

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction
