HIRING WATER TREATMENT OPERATORS
No experience required!
We are looking for a Water Treatment Operator for a project in the Chilliwack area.
They will be monitoring the plant and running the equipment to treat water to make it safe to drink.
Sites are located in the Chilliwack area and are located within 2 km of each other.
This is not super physical, but does require standing for long periods of time.
They will be completing walks of the plant every 15 minutes. completing hourly tests of the water, recording results in to a log, operating a PLC screen, and ensuring the unit runs smoothly.
Qualifications:
1. Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel), understanding of touch interfaces
2. Able to lift 50 lbs
3. Problem solving skills
4. Strong communication skills
5. Able to be on feet for long periods of time including climbing stairs
NICE TO HAVES:
1. First Aid level 1
2. Experience with treating water or chemistry knowledge
3. Experience in construction or production
4. Forklift experience/ticket
Work Environment:

Project is located in Chilliwack - 7 sites, 2 km apart each. Will likely stay at same site, won't be changing sites every day.

Project length is approx. 6 month, opportunity for additional projects

Shifts are rotating hitch of 2 weeks on, 1 week off.

Shifts are 12 hours long - 6:00am-6:00pm OR 6:00pm-6:00am

You will report to the supervisor of the project.

You will shadow and train with the supervisor for the first few weeks to ensure your understanding of the testing requirements and daily procedures.
Pay breakdown:
OT after 8 hours daily, double time after 12 hours (unlikely needed, shifts are generally 12 hours)
