The Technology Support Analyst within The Office of the Regional Executive Director is directly responsible for the ongoing support of information and communication technologies within the schools/offices of the Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE). The Technology Support Analyst will work collaboratively with the School Technology team to develop and implement new classroom technologies and technology support tools. The Analyst will work within an established framework to ensure schools receive a satisfactory level of service allowing the schools to deliver the public school program. The Technology Support Analyst will demonstrate a strong commitment to school improvement in support of technology integration into the public school program and reports directly to the Supervisor, School Technology.
Qualifications:
(a) Bachelor degree or college diploma in computer science or information technology (IT);
(b) Current A+ Certification or Network+ Certification;
(c) Valid Nova Scotia Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle to travel to school locations;
(d) Minimum 1 year experience in IT technical service;
(e) Experience in a PP-12 educational setting considered an asset
Salary:
This is a PEG (Professional Employees Group) position classified on the Education Entities Non-Union Compensation Framework at Band 5 with a salary range between $51,138-$63,923.
