POSITION SUMMARY
As a Network Team Lead and Security Administrator, you will be responsible for all aspects of the network and overall operational security. In this position, you will be part of the role is responsible for designing computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), Internet connection, intranets and other data communications systems. Part of the role is responsible for providing audit support and remediation for all of enterprise IT application & infrastructure and its development within the Colas companies in North America. The position requires collaboration and alignment with international colleagues (CSSI) on security service best practices, development, and improvements. Upon training, candidate will supervise other network administrators.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise existing Network Admins and help them to manage Projects they are working on.
Provide technical direction in all aspects of network management from network design through implementation, maintenance and upgrading of existing networks (including switches, routers, firewalls, IPS, ISE, WAN…);
Capacity and performance planning, overseeing software upgrades on production platforms, data-center build-outs, and change management;
Manage routine changes, provision services, deployments, fault isolation, service recovery, and incident analysis;
Review network characteristics and recommend procurement of, and/or modifications to network components;
Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard internal systems, networks and applications;
Report, investigate and resolve security incidents in conjunction with global security operations.
Monitoring security access;
Conducting security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis;
Performing both internal and external security audits;
Analyzing security breaches to identify the root cause;
Continuously updating the company’s incident response and disaster recovery plans;
Verifying the security of third-party vendors and collaborating with them to meet security requirements.
SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field;
Minimum of 2 years experience as a network/security administrator;
Having a strong attention to detail on network planning and projects with the ability to communicate effectively;
Ability to monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency), test for weaknesses and perform necessary network changes with proper changes;
Problem solver with experience and a good knowledge in terms of cybersecurity techniques, computer forensics, incident response and reverse engineering.
Proven experience in a Lead Network Manager and/or managing a large complex network.
WHAT YOU BRING
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of BGP and WAN routing protocols is considered as an asset
Cisco Routing experience is a nice-to-have
Good knowledge of ITIL concept and process adherence
Bilingual French & English is a nice-to-have.
