The Opportunity
The Interim Key Account Manager is responsible and accountable for managing and maintaining existing clinic customer relationships as well as developing and implementing growth opportunities in a channel that represents over 75% of the total medical business. Acting as the central point of contact and subject matter expert for key accounts within the organization, The Key Account Manager reports to the Senior Key Accounts Manager and leads activities to drive continuous improvement in the customer experience in an environment of increasing customer expectations. The individual will be versed in all areas of the business to successfully interact with marketing, sales, customer care, operations, finance, and legal departments.
Responsibilities
Assess the overall clinic competitive environment and develop and execute a clinic strategic plan that is aligned to the overall organization’s strategy
Work with the sales team to conduct territory business reviews, aid in territory planning, and collaborate on key clinic initiatives
Negotiate, execute, and maintain all clinic account contracts, delivering a favorable ROI and margin for the business
Plan, forecast, monitor, and achieve clinic account business revenue and defined KPI targets
Facilitate and manage all clinic account payments including monthly reporting and clinic account communications
Develop and execute clinic channel promotional, educational and communication campaigns and POAs in partnership with cross-functional departments
Deliver internal company training and regular performance updates
Work with internal partners to continuously improve the customer onboarding and follow up experience to improve the customer lifetime value
Lead solution development and issue resolution efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel
Proactively engage total clinic account customers including owners, educators, and other staff regularly at the national and local level to maintain and enhance the relationship
Experience
5+ years of account management and/or sales experience
A degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
Demonstrated tactical proficiency in developing strategic plans including market/targeting assessment, alignment with organizational objectives and KPIs
Strong leadership to lead and collaborate with a diverse group of cross functional partners
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
Excellent negotiation and problem-solving ability
Excellent project management skills
Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
Comfort with ambiguity and able to perform in a fast pace and changing environment
Working knowledge of cannabis and the cannabis industry and/or healthcare related industry an asset
Valid driver’s license
Proficient using MS Office
Fluency in French and English is an asset
