Job Summary
Reporting to the Regional Business Manager of Infrastructure Support and Leasing, the Infrastructure Business Manager is primarily responsible for implementing change to improve Infrastructure Support's efficiency and productivity. This position will create strategies using innovative technologies, processes, and operations to help grow the department and establish goals and metrics in the department's key areas of focus. This position will design and implement business plans and strategies to promote attaining the department's goals. The position will gather, analyze, and interpret external and internal data and activities and write reports. The position will ensure the department has adequate information resources to complete its activities.
The incumbent will be responsible for gathering information for the writing of new tenders and standing offers for the department. The complete tender process will be applied including the monitoring of the contract and vendor performance. In consultation with the Director, a database of open tenders will be established for departmental managers to access. The incumbent will also be responsible for oversight of service contracts with vendors.
The incumbent will manage a multi-trade workforce and assist in the planning/scheduling of preventive maintenance, demand maintenance, and special projects at either of the facilities. This position is responsible for all aspects of the facility's architectural, mechanical, ventilation, and electrical systems to provide a safe/comfortable environment for patients/residents/clients, staff, and visitors.
Job Qualifications
Education
A bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, or related discipline is required.
Experience
A minimum of five years of progressive experience withing the last seven years in infrastructure support/facilities management is required.
Experience in a leadership or supervisory role is required.
Experience with the tendering process is preferred.
