COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Canada) Inc. was established in 2016 and is one of the major ocean carriers in the world.
The company has its headquarter located at downtown Vancouver and there are two branch offices in Eastern Canada. We currently have an opportunity for Sales Representative who will be responsible for sales related activities in our Vancouver office located at Suite 2288 – 1055 Dunsmuir Street, Vancouver, B.C. V7X 1K8.
This is a full-time union excluded position based on 37.5 hours per week reporting to General Manager, Sales and Marketing Department in Vancouver.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Serve as primary point of contact for customers, responding to inquiries and addressing their needs promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with customer service team and global agency network to manage shipment exceptions and provide solutions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
- Identify and generate new opportunities with existing and potential customers
- Prepare rate quotes and conduct negotiations with customers in a timely and accurate manner
- Update and maintain customers database (e.g. customers info, service contracts, free time)
- Prepare weekly sales report and attend sales meeting
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Post-secondary diploma/degree
- At least 2-3 in sales or business development or related functions in transportation industry
- Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills
- Self- motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, supporting cross-functional initiatives and sharing knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word)
