FPGA DESIGN ENGINEER JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Purpose:
To design and develop new test and measurement products as part of an engineering team with secondary responsibility of sustaining engineering.
Duties:
- Participate in design of new products as an FPGA Design Engineer
- FPGA design and maintenance
- Documentation of FPGA designs
- Work with software engineering to create software drivers
- Component selection
- Maintain and write work procedures and all related documentation for each task performed
- Works with customers to reproduce field failures in the laboratory
Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience with FPGA design and simulation (Altera and Xilinx)
- Thorough understanding of digital circuit design
- OrCAD based schematic design
- Be well organized and able to multi-task
- Ability to work in collaboration with the rest of the engineering team
- Be a highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently as well as in group settings
- Attention to detail
Experience required: At least 10 years of experience as FPGA Design Engineer
Education required: Engineering degree
