Compugen is seeking a Senior Network analyst for 1 year contract working in Edmonton.
Responsibilities:
- Support and manage the lan, wan, and wireless networks including Cisco switches, routers, Checkpoint & Cisco ASA firewalls, Ruckus WAPs, site to site dmVPNs, and Checkpoint/Cisco secure VPN access with MFA.
- Monitor network lan/wan/internet performance and usage.

Support and manage the Cisco UC phone system; we are planning to move to Teams voice.

Document all networks and network devices with standard tools including Visio.

Review and provide guidance on improving network infrastructure security.

Plan and schedule required updates (after hours) to network and phone systems.

Ensure all network maintenance agreements and licenses are current.

Update the IT team with networking projects, new/ongoing issues, and networking related IT trends at weekly team meetings.

On-call support scheduled and shared with other members of the IT team.

Occasional travel to variou sites across the country for network implementations or other onsite work.

Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role/environment with related industry certs (eg CCNP).

(must-have) Hands-on in a multi-office environment with remote data centres and Cisco dmvpn with failover routing.

(must-have) Intermediate to advanced Cisco experience in an enterprise environment with switching and routing.

Experience with Checkpoint firewalls and the Smart-1 cloud; we are currently moving all offices from Cisco ASA to Checkpoint.

Familiar with Solarwinds NCM for configuration backup/auditing and other network tools (eg OpManager, Scrutinzer netflow, syslog).

Experience working with managed network providers (Telus, NWTel, SaskTel, Rogers, Bell/MTS).

(nice-to-have) Ruckus WAPs and point-to-point backhauls.

(nice-to-have) AWS or Microsoft Azure networking.

Exceptional communication and customer service skills.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to work independently.
The idyllis person will have enough basic data center experience to help us build out a co-location rack with Internet, L2 ethernet, and Cisco switching/routing. We are using NetApp storage and likely Dell servers with VMWare.
