Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

As a Test Manager (Test Specialist, Test Management) you will use your expertise in the planning, design, management, execution and reporting of tests - using appropriate testing tools and techniques - to ensure that IBM systems (new and amended) conform to exacting standards. Why? So they'll perform as specified, with any interface, to meet clients' business goals. You will deliver on that promise with exceptional testing strategies, test plans, test cases, test reports and quality metrics.
In this position, you will primarily apply your technical skills in an internal or external customer services and implementation environment.

Requirements:-
At the outset of the project in collaboration with the other stakeholders, devise the test objectives, test strategies and test plans;

Responsible for leading, supporting and guiding IT testing projects to realize ambitious business targets;

Provide strategic direction to ensure that the project is supporting the client's vision, goals and objectives;

Experience developing positive and effective relationships at all levels including business, vendors, executives, management, sponsors and team members;
-
Be well versed in the structures, processes, and procedures to manage project delivery;
-
Understand the practical application of metrics to report on the health and progress of the project;
-
Ensure there are regular reviews, there is accountability and that management of projects, stakeholders and suppliers is in place;
-
Understand the various methods for delivery and ensure that the most appropriate procedures are being utilized to achieve success;
-
Well versed with Industry standards, testing certifications and drives efforts to bring the project into conformance with such standards, facilitates the development, implementation and adherence of testing department standards in partnership with other test team leadership;

Understand and track complex project costs together with wider costs of administering the project;

Develop the plan of bringing together the information on priorities, dependencies, impacts, projects, resources, timescales, monitoring and control;

Responsible for planning the test activities and delivering the test project on time and within budget while meeting all quality objectives;

Will guide and monitor the analysis, design, implementation and execution of the test cases, test procedures and test suites in IBM’s Collaborative Lifecycle Management suite;

Will effectively communicate and coordinate between the offshore team and client.
Other responsibilities include development and sign off of the Master Test Plan and other Detailed Test Plans, building the team, leading people and managing the relationships with other teams on the project.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
This specialization is usually performed by senior test practitioner with experience in leading large test teams. You will have relevant experience of 7 years in the IT testing environment with at least 4 years in a testing leadership role.
- Test planning, test execution coordination, and project planning;

Test tool frameworks (experience in planning, requirements, test preparation, test execution and defects)
- Experience working in various test phases such as system test, integration test and acceptance test;

Experience in leading large test teams;

Experience in planning and leading a team executing manual and automated tests

Experience translating client requirements into formal agreements and plans to culminate in client acceptance of results, while meeting business objectives;

Demonstrated experience in the development and signoff of the test strategies for the solution and coordinating all test activities within the project. Ability to work smoothly and successfully with people of varied experience, skill levels;

Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, with proven experience in relationship management, conflict resolution and the ability to orient a message to the value needs of an audience

Outstanding communication skills required, including the ability to effectively lead meetings, facilitate solutions, motivate the development team, and create effective documentation

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
You will have relevant experience of 8-10 years in the IT testing environment with at least 5 years in a testing leadership role.
- Focus on ERP/COTS testing for human resource management and financial management within Government, Financial, and Insurance Industries

Outstanding communication skills required, including the ability to effectively lead meetings, facilitate solutions, motivate the development team, and create effective documentation
