The successful candidate will be part of the water practice in the Ontario region and will work collaboratively with our global Water Practice to expand our market position in Canada as well contribute to our technical resources and capabilities.

Responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking and leading a range of stormwater management projects for industrial site development, flood mitigation, and compliance.
- Preparing water resource design reports, drawings, construction specifications, and permit applications.
- Providing QA/QC and guidance of junior staff.
- Liaising with clients, municipalities, and review agencies to confirm design criteria, address comments and confirm the scope of work.
- Project management with the client and other design disciplines, while managing schedule and budget
- Prepare budgets, proposals, costs, and time estimates, and lead proposal preparation.
- Coordination with other engineering disciplines for integrated multi-discipline design
- Developing and maintaining client relationships .
Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (preferably Civil/ Water Resources/ Environmental Engineering).
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) licensed in Ontario.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in conducting water resource projects, preferably in a consulting role.
- Professional experience with water resources engineering including hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, water quality treatment, water balances, flood management, storm sewer design, erosion and sediment control and drainage design.
- An understanding of MECP and Conservation stormwater guidelines would be beneficial.
- Proven technical writing and communication skills.
- An understanding of field work is desirable including the basics of surveying, water quality sampling, water level/flow monitoring, and construction inspection of stormwater management works.
- Must hold a valid driver's license in Ontario and be willing to travel within Ontario and Canada as required.
- Experience using specialized numerical modelling software (e.g. SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM,) would be considered an asset.
