Job Summary
The position we are hiring for is for a 12-month contract placement with possibility of fulltime thereafter. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the Operations Manager as well as the Asset Managers in various day to day responsibilities as well as providing analysis, developing reports, presentations and various projects as required by operations and asset management. The incumbent will have strong general management skills, analytical abilities, and a desire to understand a broad range of financial and operational functions within the hotel and real estate sector.
Major Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with the monthly monitoring of operational performance of individual assets.

Ongoing monitoring, review and analysis of P&Ls, management accounts, sales forecasts, KPIs, STR/STAR information, etc.

Reporting on the operational and financial performance of the assets

Assist team to maximize value and cash flow of the asset through operational reviews, value enhancing opportunities through capital investment, and lease up of vacant land or space.

Review, analyze and summarize loan agreements and leases

Liaise with various creditors and monitor adherence to financing covenants and timelines.

Assist in refinancing and equity earn-outs for existing mortgages and loans.

Prepare, analyze and assist team with presenting capital funding to third party lenders, cash flow, presentations and investor reports.

Assist with the acquisition and disposition process of assets, including analyzing single or portfolio asset acquisition opportunities both on the private and public markets.

Conduct research and analysis for potential acquisitions and conversions - IRR, NPV and yield based modeling for hold/sell and various capital investment scenarios.

Assist with assembling and reviewing of purchase and sale and other transaction related documents.

Any other functions as assigned by Operations Manager or Asset Managers
Minimum Qualifications and Skills

University degree or college diploma in finance, business administration, real estate or hospitality.

Recent graduate or one (1) to three (3) years’ of relevant experience

Previous experience in hospitality/leisure properties considered a plus: hotels, services apartments,

Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills is required.

Understanding of finance and accounting, advanced financial / Excel modelling skills

Strong interpersonal, oral/written, communication skills, ability to multitask and prioritize initiatives

High level of independence, motivation and strong willingness to learn

Demonstrated level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office

Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality and under pressure.

Ability to establish a good working relationship with many different internal/external stakeholders.
