Job Description:
Hexafusion IT Solutions is in search of a proficient and seasoned WordPress Developer/SEO Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, updating, and optimizing our website and clients' websites to ensure optimal performance, user experience, and SEO rankings.

Conflict of Interest: Please note that candidates who currently own or are employed by a web development related company may present a conflict of interest and are therefore ineligible for this position. We seek candidates whose primary professional allegiance will be to Hexafusion IT Solutions during the tenure of their service with us.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently design, develop, and maintain WordPress our and client's websites using technologies such as PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Showcase proficiency in troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading the websites to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Execute effective SEO strategies to increase the visibility of the websites, including on-page and off-page optimization.
- Conduct website performance tests and optimize performance for SEO and user experience.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services into our WordPress website to enhance functionality.
- Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements, industry best practices, and emerging web development and SEO solutions, recommending relevant updates or enhancements to keep the website modern and effective.
- Create, update, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides, ensuring they remain accurate and up-to-date for use by the team and end-users.
- Collaborate actively with the IT team on various web development and SEO projects, ensuring successful implementation within defined timelines.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer/SEO Specialist or in a similar role, showcasing a well-rounded technical acumen.
- Strong knowledge of web development technologies including PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Proficiency in SEO with a strong understanding of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of identifying issues and implementing corrective measures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical users, ensuring a positive service experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, adapting to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks concurrently.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, ensuring accuracy and consistency in task execution and documentation.
- Commitment to professional growth, with a requirement to stay updated on the latest industry standards and technologies.
Requirements:
- Possession of a valid work authorization for employment in Canada.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a comparable role.
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Relevant certifications in web development and SEO are highly desirable.
- Availability to work between 4 to 8 hours a week within the hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, excluding holidays, weekends, and after-hours.
