Abbyland Logistics is looking for a Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for the efficient and timely communication of information to the right people in the right order for optimal operation of the business. This includes answering questions, providing information on product and service availability, processing orders and shipments, and communicating with customers on any issues or problems that may arise. The ideal candidate will have a background in transportation, logistics. We are willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities:
·Assist drivers with customer pick-ups and deliveries.
·Communicate accurate pick-up and delivery information to customers.
·Provide customer service regarding issues with orders or shipments.
·Handle customer complaints professionally and promptly.
·Review daily logs for accuracy.
·Ensure all pickup and delivery drivers are up to date on their paperwork.
·Assist drivers in maintaining their vehicles.
·Ensure all pickups and deliveries are completed in a timely manner.
·Assist drivers in receiving shipments or receiving inventory.
·Maintain communication between the warehouse and the delivery department.
·Assist the Warehouse Manager as needed.
·Other duties as assigned.
