Senior 5G/LTE Physical Layer Developer
We are seeking a Senior 5G/LTE Physical Layer Developer to join our Software Defined Radio team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and developing physical layer solutions for 5G and LTE wireless communication systems.
Our solutions are optimized for power and performance, utilizing Octasics proprietary multi-core digital signal processors and integrated into our own software-defined radio platforms. Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop and maintain physical layer software for 5G/LTE on Octasic’s multi-core SoCs
Develop code and test units as part of an agile development team
Assist the validation team during product releases
Write and review related technical documentation used internally and by customers
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer science or related technical field
A minimum of 7 years of experience in physical layer or embedded systems development
Solid understanding of embedded systems, multi-core processors, DSP processors and RTOS
Experience with the following tools and environments:
Programming languages: C/C++
Debugging, validation and benchmarking methodologies, e.g. wireshark, pcap analysis
Design and code reviews methodologies, unit testing
Real-Time tools: emulators, debugger and profiler
Programming tools: Microsoft Visual Studio
Revision control and knowledge of bug tracking tools, such as JIRA
Good English oral and writing and basic French oral skills
Self-sufficient, resourceful and meticulous
Aptitude to work and communicate within a team
Great learning ability
Assets:
Experience with the following tools and environments:
Test equipment, e.g. digital scope, MXA, MXG
Scripting tools, e.g. Python
Agile development environment and process
Experience with wireless systems in 4G/5G/LTE
Experience in L2/L3 and higher layer communication protocols and networking.
Knowledge of DSP signalling, Matlab and knowledge of RF.
