Overview:
Are you a curious individual? Fountain Tire is looking for two Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team, working out of our Corporate Office in South Edmonton. If you’re the kind of person who likes to roll up their sleeves and dig into data, this might be the role you’ve looking for!
The work location for this position will be in office, remote work is not an option. Candidate must be located in the Edmonton area, if you are relocating costs will be at associate expense. No relocation assistance will be provided.
Wage: $83,000 - $93,000
Functional Responsibilities
Support and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create business value by leveraging people, process, data, and technology. Assist and participate in the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards utilizing domain expertise, data warehouses, and analytical tools.

Analyzes and integrates data from multiple repositories/sources to provide end users with the most valuable results.

Understand the integration points within ERP systems as well as with external systems and be able to contribute to solutions that are built on that source data.

Collaborate with data and analytics team members to design data models and database structures supporting reporting and analytics needs.

Perform data cleansing and validation of financial reporting and other published sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Leverage people, processes, data, and technology to create actionable insights that provide business value as it ties to strategic goals and other organizational curiosities.

Write SQL queries to extract data from databases and perform ad-hoc analysis.

Collaborate with data and analytics team members to optimize data retrieval processes and improve overall database performance.

Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and interactive visualizations using MS Power BI and other analytics tools.

Create visually appealing and user-friendly reports that effectively communicate complex data in a simplified manner.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements and deliver actionable reports.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable insights.

Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.

Configures systems to meet new or changed business requirements and proposes system-based and business process solutions that meet organization requirements.

Uses BI tool(s) to develop and support automatic distribution and self-serve guided analysis areas for data quality, testing, validation, and training.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.

Develop and implement data quality controls and perform regular data audits.

Support data governance initiatives by adhering to and providing input on data management policies and procedures.

Manage or lead cross-departmental project plans as required.

Ensure the specified timelines complete assigned tasks.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Statistics.

2 to 3 years of related experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.

Proficiency in SQL for data retrieval and analysis.

Experience with MS PowerBI, Tableau, or other presentation tools

Experience working in the Retail industry and familiarity with financial metrics preferred.

Experience working with various stakeholders to solve problems using analytics.
