Job Description
This position requires frequent travel to the USA; candidates must hold Canadian citizenship or have the ability to work in the USA.
We are in search of a skilled Software Validation Engineer to join our team in Windsor, ON. Your missions will be as follows:
Designing and executing DVPs for propulsion system requirements testing, both virtually and on real facilities.
Evaluating requirements critically, designing DVPs, and executing testing.
Identifying the appropriate testing environment for each test case, such as MIL, SIL, HIL, or vehicle.
Performing pre-analysis of issues and proposing possible solutions.
Identifying critical and corner case maneuvers based on requirements to uncover potential failures.
Ensuring adherence to best practices from consolidated company programs.
Maximizing the utilization of virtual testing environments to achieve cost savings.
Collaborating actively with controls, calibration, and quality communities for root cause analysis and solution definition.
Engaging in technical discussions with software developers to report software open points and provide temporary mitigations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Automotive, or Computer Engineering.
Strong understanding of Automotive Engines fundamentals and hybrid/fully electric architectures.
Valid B-driving license.
Knowledge of ISO/SAE diagnosis standard norms and ISO/SAE standard norms for CAN/LIN networks.
Familiarity with ETAS INCA tool and CANALYZER tool (CAPL).
Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language, such as Python.
Soft skills including a business-focused, analytical, and problem-solving attitude.
Excellent written and communication skills for effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate a proactive approach.
Critical approach to process improvement and lesson learning.
High proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
